Know-how transfer as the icing on the cake From Occupational Nomads

According to the Association of Interim Management Service Providers in Germany, ‘occupational nomads’ from sectors like Automotive (23%) and Mechanical Engineering (21%) frequently call Management Angels to inquire about interim opportunities. This is followed by professionals from domains like ICT (Information, Communication. Technology), chemicals/pharmaceuticals, consumer goods and financial services. The most common areas where executive interims are deployed is corporate management, technology & production, finance and controlling. Demand from the Human Resources sector has been growing strongly since the past one year.

One thing is clear: a highly qualified, experienced manager, who works in a company for a few months, usually leaves behind not only a successfully completed project, but also a lot of knowledge. The know-how transfer of interim managers in companies should not be underestimated. "Companies often benefit from this for years to come”.

Recruitment via platform or provider

According to Association’s representative Mayr, who is a certified Interim Manager, the number of orders placed for executive interim managers via Internet platforms will increase in the coming years. "This is an opportunity for companies, even managers that are not in the database of a provider would stand to gain." Senior Consultant Puffert from Management Angels emphasises the advantages of an intermediary company: "One provider supports the interim mandate during the entire Project duration – right from the time of the company’s enquiry through the quick search for the most suitable candidate and the preparation of the service contract until billing." Management Angels also have a rigorous screening and onboarding process for new interims join the database.
